Born in Lille under the Northern light that has inspired so many artists, for 20 years I have spent my career illuminating spaces. My attention is therefore naturally drawn to what enhances a place, an object, a painting.

I discovered the practice of visual arts in 2005 during a trip to Croatia with drawing: landscapes, trees, details of a facade. The line then became my travel companion and the spontaneous witness of what I saw.

I deepen, explore, diversify my subjects and experiment with different drawing techniques before approaching painting. During a long stay in Romania, I discovered acrylics which I use for portraits and scenes of the Romanian countryside, reproduced under different lights, I exhibited in Bucharest from 2009, I extended my techniques with oil painting.

In the Médoc, where I take refuge in a cabin surrounded by nature, I observe the ocean and the trees in all their forms. I work on them as much in my studio as in front of my subjects where, exposed to the wind, the sea spray and the scent of the pines, I recharge my batteries and draw inspiration directly from the place. My line captures the light, the atmosphere and the emotion of the moment. On the surface or in the depths of the material, I return to the line, resume, refine.

It is in Périgord that I chose to set up another studio. Nature there is rich with varied and changing landscapes, punctuated by villages of character. These new sources of inspiration herald new horizons for my work in perpetual research.
